It was a surprise for sure.
I am a wedding photographer and not usually the one in front of the camera. When I got a call from Samantha who is a very good friend of mine who is also a photographer and found out she was wanting to do a styled shoot and was looking for a couple I jumped at the opportunity. This was our chance to get some really pretty photos of us together and finally get some canvases on the wall! Sure we have done the cellphone pics and the selfies together but it was time for some nice professional pictures.
Months before our photoshoot I started planning on outfits and a look based on the location and the “somewhat trend” that was out there. BTW I am not a trendy person or at least I don’t think of myself as one, so this was a hard task for me.
Anywhoo….. SO about 3 days before the session Brian apparently reached out to Samantha and let her in on a secret that he had. He wanted to purpose during our photo session. WOW… lets back up a little bit here.
Not all men are created equal and that is true. I have been married before and it was a pure battle to just get a cell phone picture together or at least an attitude of enjoying my company.
Brian is the very opposite. He keeps my cup overflowing with joy and love. He is the most thoughtful, sweet, caring and yet still manly man I have ever known. He touches my inner being like I never knew I could be. I could go on and on but I’ll just leave it at this. He is perfect for me.
Back to our photos, We had been photographing for just over 2 hours when Brian was given the cue that it was time. I was surprised and excited. I knew the day would come, just not when or how. Knowing Brian, it would not be simple or plain. I am thankful that he did get it captured and now we have those moments in print forever.
